An element of ladies outer garment typical for XIV century with characteristic large cut-outs on both sides with no sleeves. Made of two main parts of fabric with two gores on each side from hips down to the bottom edge. In standard version, it is made of wool with linen lining.
A sleeveless surcoat is an outer garment used from the 13th century till the early 15th century. In the iconography it is not usually tightened with the belt.
