The important finish of a dress are: accessories and decorations. Former fashion, when it comes to accessories, was limited to several medieval items: a belt (which spoke of the social status of the owner and its lack was considered humiliating), a pouch, a money-bag, gloves (in case of knights) and different kinds of decorations like chains, necklaces, rings, buckles and others. Those medieval items underlined the social status and wealthiness of a wearer, but often had also an important functional role.
